It has also taught me a lot about how YouTube as a channel works and what best practices apply.

Veckans Klonk – How to communicate wine knowledge in a lighthearted way, without a heavy production

I came up with the idea for this program series with the aim of communicating wine knowledge in a lighthearted way. One challenge was that the production did not have to take too long. To date, Veckans Klonk is the most successful of all Vinguiden’s productions with over 70,000 views organically on YouTube. They were also originally published on Facebook, and the total reach the series received is significantly greater. It exemplifies a very important thing – relevance to the target group is by far the most important thing! It doesn’t have to be pretty, as long as it’s relevant!

The idea is based on dichotomies where we pitted two wines against each other. In addition to creating the script and producing it, I also acted as the wine expert behind the camera.

Northern Panorma – The World’s most adventurous astrophotography channel
During the global pandemic, I started my own channel for astrophotography. I noticed after the first episode that I had reached a global audience and my videos have a very high engagement rate with many likes and comments. As with Veckans Klonk, it also illustrates how important it is to understand the target audience and create content on the target audience’s terms. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to maintain it as much as I would have liked, but the channel is one of the largest in Sweden and reaches just over 1 per thousand of the global target audience who are interested in astrophotography.

I also started this channel during the global pandemic as a way to combine business with pleasure and showcase the unique nature and opportunities for cycling year-round, north of the Arctic Circle.
